2 Weeks Away – Celebrate Success at our 7th Annual Pitch Competition & SEED Lab Graduation

Dear Caravanserai Community,

Our 7th Annual Pitch Competition & SEED Lab Graduation is quickly approaching. Just two weeks from today, we’ll be celebrating the entrepreneur graduates of our 2024/25 SEED Lab cohort and hosting our annual pitch competition! If you haven’t registered yet – it’s a great opportunity to network, get a sense for some of the fantastic small businesses that power the Coachella Valley, and vote for this year’s Audience Award winner!

Last year’s Audience Award winner was Prema Walker, founder of Prema’s Permaculture & Composting, a Palm Springs-based business dedicated to creating circular economy systems through composting and permaculture. Inspired by sustainable farming practices in India, Prema launched her business to tackle climate change and food security issues while helping communities comply with California’s SB 1383 mandate. Since its inception, Prema’s business has won awards and secured grants, including a $219,000 grant to create three local jobs. By turning food waste into nutrient-rich soil and educating communities on sustainability, Prema is making tangible contributions to environmental resilience and community empowerment.
