On January 1, 2026, I soft-launched JL Solutions & Strategy, LLC, a consulting practice focused on helping mission-driven organizations strengthen their philanthropy and long-term sustainability. Like any new venture, it takes time to build momentum (and raise a few dollars along the way), but I’ve already had the opportunity to collaborate with some incredible people and organizations: Paul Clowers – The Development Department Joel Robbins – Taste Specific Inc. Ken Moses – Pets In Recovery Jeremy Smythe – Enchanted Floral Design, Inc.
So what do I do? Through JL Solutions & Strategy, LLC, I work with organizations and leaders to strengthen their philanthropic capacity and long-term sustainability. My work focuses on strategic planning, fundraising strategy, donor cultivation and stewardship, major gifts development, and building meaningful philanthropic relationships that move missions forward. I partner with organizations to identify growth opportunities, elevate development programs, engage donors in deeper ways, and create clear strategies that translate vision into measurable impact.
It’s the same work I’ve been fortunate to lead throughout my career with organizations such as DAP Health, The LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert, Angel View, Palm Springs Animal Shelter, Portland Japanese Garden, and Our House—helping nonprofits expand their reach, grow philanthropic support, and build stronger communities. While I continue exploring the right long-term leadership opportunity, this work has allowed me to stay deeply connected to the sector and continue doing what I care most about: helping organizations grow their impact through thoughtful strategy, strong relationships, and a strong culture of philanthropy.
If you or your organization could benefit from support in strategic planning, development strategy, donor engagement, or philanthropic growth—or if you know of a leadership opportunity that might be a good fit—I would love to connect.
