Cathedral City Senior Center (CCSC) is proud to announce a new and growing partnership with Cathedral City Cannabis Company (C4), highlighted by a significant donation and the launch of a company-wide food drive to benefit local seniors and families.
C4 is providing hundreds of urgently needed items to support CCSC’s food bank and wellness programs. In what could be the largest single food donation from one company to the organization, the initiative goes beyond traditional food drives by also prioritizing personal hygiene items—essential products that are often not included in typical food drives, yet critical to maintaining dignity, health, and quality of life for seniors.
“This is the kind of partnership that makes a real difference,” said Geoff Corbin, CEO of Cathedral City Senior Center. “Personal hygiene items are an often-overlooked need, yet they are essential. Many of the people we serve struggle to afford these basic necessities. C4 recognized that gap and stepped up to fill it.”
To support its food bank donation, C4 has mobilized its 270 employees in a weeklong food drive collecting canned goods, pantry staples, fresh produce, and personal hygiene items. Contributions are coming from both employees and the broader community. The campaign is being promoted in both English and Spanish, reflecting the diversity of Cathedral City and C4’s workforce.
Collected goods will be delivered to Cathedral City Senior Center on Monday, March 23 at 8:30 a.m., where community leaders and supporters—including Cathedral City’s newest Councilmember, Christina Gordon—will gather to receive the donation and recognize the effort.
“This food drive is just the beginning of a meaningful, long-term relationship with Cathedral City Senior Center,” said David Bernard, COO of C4. “What they do for seniors is critical, and we want to be more than a sponsor—we want to be a hands-on partner. Our goal is to provide ongoing financial and volunteer support to help expand the incredible resources CCSC provides to the community.”
“Our team was eager to be part of this effort,” Bernard added. “This initiative brought our employees together in a powerful way to support local seniors, and we’re proud that it reflects the diversity of both our workforce and the Cathedral City community.”
C4 is also a sponsor of CCSC’s upcoming A Night to Remember Gala on April 17, 2026, further demonstrating its commitment to addressing food insecurity, social isolation, and access to essential resources for seniors and families across the Mid-Valley.
“Shelley Kaplan, former Cathedral City Council member and present chair of the Cathedral City Senior Center Board is very pleased to welcome the support of this major business in Cathedral City for both the Center and our community.” “We welcome businesses that want to be part of the fabric of this community,” Corbin added. “This is a significant start, and we’re truly grateful.”
