An Economy of Good: Charitable Ventures’ Innovative Approach to Community Transformation

What could we do if we all worked together? That is the question that drives Charitable Ventures, a regional incubator of powerful solutions to some of our most complex community challenges. Founded in 2007 to sponsor local projects emerging from the community, today Charitable Ventures works to strengthen nonprofit leaders, social entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and foundations doing good work in our communities.

At its core, Charitable Ventures connects nonprofits and individuals to resources in four important ways:

· Incubation: Offering back-office, fiscal, and development services to emerging initiatives, Charitable Ventures has sponsored more than 85 initiatives since 2007.

· Social Impact Consulting: Helping nonprofits achieve strategic goals through evaluation, planning, community assessment and fund development, Charitable Ventures is currently partnering with Providence Health on their triannual community health needs assessment in the Southern California area.

· Regional Initiatives Management: Managing large public contracts, regional relief efforts, and other funding initiatives, Charitable Ventures has distributed almost $30M in relief funding throughout Southern California and was the lead nonprofit agency for the 2020 Census in Orange County.

· Educational Programming: Connecting nonprofit professionals with business skills through free workshops, trainings, and educational programs, we help build nonprofit capacity. Our Economy of Good podcast highlights the work of innovative leaders in the social sector.

In a world where the complexity of problems hinders social progress, Charitable Ventures champions collaboration and innovation as the key to bringing real transformation to our communities.
