Highly-Anticipated Fundraising Event Celebrates A Decade of Handsome Hounds
Animal Samaritans, celebrating its 41st year of providing vital services and programs within the Coachella Valley, has announced plans for its 10th Annual “MEN OF THE DESERT” Fashion Show & Charity Luncheon on Sunday, December 8, 2019. Sold out since 2015, this highly-anticipated event will feature Dogs, Dudes, and Designer Menswear on the catwalk. Co-chaired once again by Lori Serfling and Patrick Mundt, the event will commence at 11:00 am and will include an elegant champagne reception, luncheon, fashion show, and silent auction. This fundraiser benefits the organization’s Animal Rescue Program, which saves an average of 90 adoptable, at-risk shelter dogs and cats each month from our local public animal shelters. Since the establishment of this life-saving program in April 2011, Animal Samaritans’ Adoption Alliance Animal Rescue Program has saved more than 12,000 at-risk animals.
Susan Stein, Fashion Editor for Palm Springs Life Magazine and the Creative Director/Producer of Fashion Week El Paseo, will direct up to 20 local models, aka “Handsome Hounds” and their dogs on stage. She’ll be dressing the gents in fashions by local and national men’s designers and clothiers. Some of this year’s handsome models will include Jamie Kabler, Garry Kief, Peter Sturgeon, and Patrick St. Pierre, MD.
General Admission tickets are priced at $150, with VIP seating at $200. A full range of Sponsorships are available. For more information, please contact Athena Norton, Director of Development at Animal Samaritans at 760-601-3755 or email her at email@example.com
