Girlfriend Factor to Celebrates 20th Anniversary with Club Cabana Tropical-themed Fundraiser on February 21st
(Indian Wells) The Girlfriend Factor will mark two decades of empowering local women at its signature tropical fundraiser, Club Cabana, on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Grand Hyatt Resort Conference & Convention Center, 44-600 Indian Wells Lane in Indian Wells.
Known as one of the desert’s most anticipated themed events, the evening invites guests to step into a Caribbean-inspired island escape complete with dinner, an open bar, live music and dancing, and both silent and live auctions. Guests are encouraged to dress in Caribbean Chic attire.
This year’s event holds special significance as Girlfriend Factor celebrates its 20th anniversary – two decades dedicated to helping motivated local women improve their economic position through education, support and community encouragement.
“The Girlfriend Factor began with a simple belief – that education changes lives and women thrive when they support one another,” said Joan Busick, Founder of Girlfriend Factor. “For 20 years we’ve watched women transform their futures through opportunity and encouragement, and we’re incredibly proud that our community continues to stand beside them as they pursue independence and stability.”
Since its founding, the organization has provided educational assistance through its Go Girl! Grant Program, helping more than 240 local women pursue four-year degrees or occupational certifications. To date, Girlfriend Factor has awarded more than $915,000 in grants, with most recipients remaining in the Coachella Valley workforce – strengthening families and the local economy. The organization hopes to surpass $1 million in grants during its 20th year.
