It’s Time for “A Miracle on El Paseo”

There’s no better way to kick off the holiday season than by bringing family and friends to the festive “A Miracle on El Paseo” to be held Saturday, November 23 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. along the fashionable El Paseo in Palm Desert.

The sights and sounds of the holidays will fill the streets as revelers of all ages gather to celebrate the season and witness the lighting of the 60-foot Christmas Tree. The delightfully fun evening also includes live entertainment, a fashion presentation, five-story Ferris Wheel, photos with Santa Claus and much more. Delicious tastings and signature refreshments from some of the Valley’s best restaurants will be served.

Now in its 12th year, this popular, family-friendly holiday celebration is made possible thanks to The Shops on El Paseo, the desert’s premier luxury collection of retailers and restaurants who generously sponsors the annual event benefiting BIGHORN Behind A Miracle (BAM) and donate a percentage of the evening’s sales to BIGHORN BAM.

Local resident Selby Dunham, who was diagnosed with breast cancer over 14 years ago, founded BIGHORN BAM after seeing the need for services by others fighting the same battle. BAM is dedicated to providing critical funding needed to help in the diagnosis, treatment, research, services and education for those affected by cancer.

Since its inception in 2007, the non-profit has directly impacted more than 100,000 local patients in their treatment of cancer; has donated nearly $9 million to Eisenhower Medical Center, The Pendleton Foundation, and Desert Regional Medical Center; plus given over 12,000 rides to assist people to and from their treatment.

“I’m thrilled that A Miracle on El Paseo has grown to be such a popular community event and every year it’s heartwarming to see all the families enjoying the spirit of giving,” said Dunham.

A Miracle on El Paseo is one of numerous BIGHORN BAM events held throughout that year that help raise the much needed funds to continue benefiting the local community.

Free parking for A Miracle on El Paseo is available behind California Pizza Kitchen. To purchase tickets for A Miracle on El Paseo, or to learn more about how you can support survivors through BIGHORN BAM’s fight against cancer, please visit
