Local Neurologist Dr. Esmaeil Sebti to Receive Leadership Award from Alzheimers Coachella Valley

Alzheimers Coachella Valley (ACV) today announced Esmaeil Sebti, MD, will be the recipient of its Edie Keller Leadership Award at its fourth annual “Endless Possibilities” fundraising event. Dr. Sebti is recognized for his many contributions to the community as a physician, educator and patient advocate.

“We are very honored to acknowledge Dr. Sebti for his more than 20 years as a leading neurologist in the Coachella Valley,” said Dominick Calvano, president of ACV’s Board of Directors. “A champion of ACV and his patients, Dr. Sebti takes a patient-centered approach to his practice, looking beyond the lab tests and imaging tests. He has said many times, ‘I focus on the patient, not the scan.”

The Edie Keller Leadership Award is presented annually by ACV to an outstanding person who makes remarkable contributions to aiding those who are struggling with dementia and other related illnesses in the Coachella Valley. The annual event will be held at the Desert Willow Golf Resort in Palm Desert, California, on March 27, 2025, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. The evening will include cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dinner and live and silent auctions, including a trip to Spain and dinner with KESQ’s meteorologist Patrick Evans, to raise funds for ACV. All monies raised stay in the Valley as ACV is not affiliated with any national non-profit organizations.

Founded in 2017, Alzheimers Coachella Valley offers innovative programs, services and education for desert residents with cognitive impairment, their families and care partners. More than 25 evidence-based programs are provided, including a no-cost screening center (the only one of its kind in the Valley), Club Journey, Meaningful Conversations, certified dementia training for healthcare professionals and lay persons, and numerous support groups. Each month, ACV serves more than 500 people in need of support and all services are free of charge.
