The Richmond Ermet Aid Foundation’s Party For A Cause to Benefit Sanctuary Palm Springs

The Richmond Ermet Aid Foundation – Palm Springs (REAF-PS), along with Michael Norpell and Bryan Fisher, will host Lights! Camera! Action! – Celebrating Stars of the Silver Screen on Saturday, April 12, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Palm Springs home of Norpell and Fisher. Funds raised during the event will benefit Sanctuary Palm Springs, a transitional housing placement program supporting LGBTQ+ young adults as they move out of foster care and into independent adulthood.  The Bent Theater Group. which is dedicated to resourcing the talents and needs of the LGBTQIA+ community, is also a beneficiary.
The event will celebrate the stars of the silver screen and will feature an exclusive silent auction, raffle, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and special performances by #1 Billboard jazz singer/songwriter Spencer Day and actress Kim Schroeder Long. Palm Springs hostess with the mostest, Bella de Ball, will emcee the event.
“We are incredibly grateful to REAF-PS for their generosity and support,” said Sanctuary CEO Tammy Wilson. “With federal funding being cut, we are urgently seeking alternative sources to bridge the gap and ensure our young adults continue receiving the resources they need. This support couldn’t have come at a more critical time, and we are deeply appreciative.”
REAF-PS is an extension of the San Francisco-based Richmond Ermet Aid Foundation, dedicated to supporting
HIV services, hunger programs, and resources for homeless and disenfranchised youth and seniors in both
San Francisco and the Coachella Valley. The organization was founded by two mothers, Barbara Richmond and
Peggy Ermet, who lost their only sons to AIDS. In their honor, REAF continues its mission to alleviate
the suffering of others living with HIV and AIDS.
Sponsors for Party for a Cause include Delta Dental, Jim Neuman, OUTbound Travel, Andy Warren, Steven Montes
Special Events & Catering, Constellation Wines US, Susan Munday, KGay, Gay Desert Guide and Roadrunner Print
and Ship.
Tickets are $125 per person. To purchase, or for more information, visit reaf-sf.org.
