29-PSP Hosts Fundraiser to Get Hundreds of Marines Home for the Holidays

29-PSP announced it will host an exclusive holiday fundraiser to bridge the financial gap for hundreds of active-duty Marines striving to be with their families this holiday season. The charity event will take place on Friday, December 4, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM at a private residence in Palm Springs.

With holiday travel expenses soaring, 29-PSP aims to raise funds to provide complimentary ground transportation for 300 service members. By covering up to $500 in transit costs per Marine, the initiative will collectively save these young service members an estimated $75,000—funds they can spend on high airfares and other travel costs.

The urgency of this year’s event builds on challenges faced last winter. Last year, 29-PSP had to coordinate an emergency, last-minute fundraising push to hire coaches after standard holiday buses wasn’t provided. This year, the organization is taking a proactive stance to ensure no Marine or loved one is left stranded for the holidays.

Guests attending the fundraiser will enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres, wine, and beer. The event will also feature live entertainment and a silent auction, with all proceeds directly funding the holiday transportation program. “Rising inflation has increased the cost of everyday living, and holiday flights have climbed drastically this year,” said Christina Saldivar, Chief Fundraising Officer for 29-PSP. “These compounding financial barriers make it incredibly difficult for young Marines to afford a trip home. We are calling on our community to join us to bring families together.”

“Our mission is to eliminate the heavy financial burdens placed on our service members when they simply want to see their loved ones,” added Ken Hedick, CEO and President of 29-PSP. “By joining us, our community has the power to directly impact the lives of these young men and women, showing them the tangible appreciation and support they have truly earned.”

General admission tickets are available for $50 per person. Due to the private nature of the venue, the exact address will be disclosed exclusively to attendees within their ticket confirmation email.
