150 Circle of Giving Launches in the Coachella Valley to Encourage Collaborative Giving for Greater Impact

Jack Alotto, a resident of Rancho Mirage, has announced the creation of the 150 Circle of Giving benefiting nonprofit organizations in the Coachella Valley. The 150 Circle of Giving is a membership organization where individuals make a minimum gift of $150 annually to benefit Coachella Valley organizations working to create a better community for all. The 150 Circle of Giving is a fund at The Community Foundation.

The mission of 150 Circle of Giving is 1) to financially support nonprofit organizations working in the Coachella Valley. 2) to create a community of philanthropists who are building relationships with one another and learning about nonprofits working in the Coachella Valley 3) to impact our community and 4) to create a participatory philanthropic giving organization.

Added Alotto, when asked the vision of the 150 Circle of Giving, “We envision financially supporting nonprofit organizations working to create a better community for all and to create awareness of their work so that they might receive additional financial and volunteer support.” In addition, the 150 Circle of Giving, sees an organization where donors come together to learn about the nonprofit community and philanthropy.

Benefits of becoming a member of the 150 Circle of Giving is:
Members can nominate their favorite nonprofit each year. Members are invited to our annual event where they learn in-depth about nominees and participate in choosing one nonprofit for funding. Members share in the social aspects of participatory philanthropic giving. Members have the satisfaction of turning their generous $150 gift into a major impact gift. Members have an opportunity to meet and learn more fully the work of other nonprofits. Members know that 100% of their gift supports nonprofit groups working in the Coachella Valley.

The 150 Circle of Giving is managed by a group of volunteers called advisers. Currently there are 6 advisers. Advisers do not make funding decisions, members do. If you wish to be considered for an adviser position email us at JackA150circleofgiving@gmail.com.

The 150 Circle of Giving is a Fund at the Community Foundation. The Community Foundation is a Section 501 (c) 3 nonprofit. Your gift may qualify as a charitable deduction for federal income tax purposes.
