“We’re very excited to unveil the new center to our existing donor base and to those who
will follow them in the life–saving cause of voluntary blood donation,” said Rick Axelrod, MD,
LifeStream’s president, CEO and medical director.
“Several factors went into the decision to relocate,” he said. “And they all focus on
patient care while continuing to provide superior customer service to our donors.
“The new location is in a more visible, more populated shopping center, leading to
greater awareness of our presence, more ‘buzz’ and more walk–in traffic to increase the number
of blood donations for local hospitals. That’s the ultimate objective.”
Donors will note the open, inviting floor plan and the absence of interior walls, allowing
for a sweeping view of all areas of the donation process, from registration to canteen.
To further ensure its commitment to a safe donation experience, all LifeStream donor–
and customer–facing staff are fully vaccinated against COVID–19. Also, LifeStream requires face
coverings for all donors, staff and volunteers; adheres to social distancing guidelines; and has
enhanced already strict cleaning and disinfecting protocols.
