“We’re very excited to unveil the new center to our existing donor base and to those who
will follow them in the lifesaving cause of voluntary blood donation,” said Rick Axelrod, MD,
LifeStream’s president, CEO and medical director.

“Several factors went into the decision to relocate,” he said. “And they all focus on
patient care while continuing to provide superior customer service to our donors.

“The new location is in a more visible, more populated shopping center, leading to
greater awareness of our presence, more ‘buzz’ and more walkin traffic to increase the number
of blood donations for local hospitals. That’s the ultimate objective.”

Donors will note the open, inviting floor plan and the absence of interior walls, allowing
for a sweeping view of all areas of the donation process, from registration to canteen.

To further ensure its commitment to a safe donation experience, all LifeStream donor
and customerfacing staff are fully vaccinated against COVID19. Also, LifeStream requires face
coverings for all donors, staff and volunteers; adheres to social distancing guidelines; and has
enhanced already strict cleaning and disinfecting protocols.

Donors receive a free miniphysical every time they donate, and results are posted for
easy reference on the donor’s private online portal. With each donation, readings for
temperature, blood pressure, cholesterol levels, pulse rate and iron level are determined and
made available.

Donors must be at least 15 years of age (15 and 16yearolds require a signed parental
consent form; the form is at LStream.org and at the center), present current photo ID, weigh at
least 115 pounds and feel well.

Donors may give blood regardless of COVID vaccination status.

LifeStream is the exclusive provider of blood products and services to all Coachella
Valleyarea hospitals. For more information, call 800TRY GIVING or visit www.LStream.org.
