After receiving 80 nominations for the 2023 National Philanthropy Day, the Association of Fundraising Professionals CA, Desert Communities Chapter’s (AFP) Blue Ribbon panel has made their decision. Comprised of the Valley’s most generous community leaders, the final 2023 Honorees will be announced on May 18th at AFP’s National Philanthropy Day Announcement Luncheon. The event will be held from 11:30am to 1:30pm at Agua Caliente Resort in Rancho Mirage. Sponsored by DAP Health and exclusive media sponsors: Palm Springs Life, News Channel 3, The Desert Sun and LocaliQ, tickets are available for Members $50 and Non-Members for $65. About National Philanthropy Day in the Desert
National Philanthropy Day (NPD) honors our community’s philanthropic heroes who are actively engaged and give so generously of their time, skills, talents, and financial support. To date, the Association of Fundraising Professionals CA, Desert Communities Chapter has paid tribute to 92 individuals, businesses, foundations and organizations. Honorees are nominated through a process open to all individuals, organizations, companies and foundations in the Coachella Valley. The NPD Awards Committee, comprised of AFP fundraising professionals, reviews submitted applications, selects three nominations in each category, and sends those to an independent Blue-Ribbon Committee for review and final selection of an Honoree in each category. This year’s NPD will take place on Friday, November 3rd at 11:30 am at Agua Caliente Casino Resort & Spa.
