American Express Golf – The Mickelson Foundation Accepting Applications from Nonprofits – $ 1 Million Funds

All proceeds generated from The American Express is donated to local Coachella Valley Charities. The overall charitable contribution since the tournament’s inception is $63 Million to the Greater Palm Springs community. This year, The Mickelson Foundation will donate over $1 million in proceeds thanks to the gracious support of American Express.

The American Express and The Mickelson Foundation will provide funding to organizations that support:

Health & Wellness
Youth Sports
Family Support
Education
Homelessness

​Special consideration will also be given to applicants from organizations that are leading the way in Social Justice Reform, Diversity and Inclusion and support for Local Small Businesses.

We will begin accepting applications for funding on July 1, 2021. The application process timeline will be as follows:

Timeline for digital application process:

July 1: Call for applications
August 18: Letter of Inquiry (LOIs) period closes
August 30: Semi-finalists notified and given 1 month to submit formal grant application
September 30: Formal Grant Applications due
Nov 1: Grant Recipients Confirmed and then notified
