CancerPartners Announces Date for Second Annual Passions Ball

CancerPartners, the local nonprofit that offers emotional and social support to all those in the Coachella Valley touched by cancer, has set a date for the 2018 edition of the exciting new fundraising gala it inaugurated last year. Its Passions Ball: An Evening of Heart and Soul, will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa, announced Maria Elena Geyer, CancerPartners President and CEO.

The Passions Ball will be a glamorous evening featuring an outdoor cocktail reception, gourmet dinner in the grand ballroom, live auction, awards program, and entertainment straight from Las Vegas that will have guests dancing the night away, Geyer said.

Providing the “Heart” in the event’s name will be three distinguished honorees—two philanthropists and a cancer clinician—who will receive special Passions Awards for their dedication to the cancer cause.

The “Soul” will come courtesy of “The Greatest HITZ,” the new show from the creators of the Las Vegas-based Motown review HITZVILLE: The Show” that was so enthusiastically received last year. The show will feature the biggest and best from the 1970s to today.

More details, including the names of the Ball’s Honorary Event Chairs, will be announced early this fall, Geyer said.

“It’s thanks to our loyal partners, including Passions Ball attendees and sponsors, that we are able to make the professionally led CancerPartners program available at no cost to all who are impacted by cancer, no matter who they are or where they may be on the cancer journey, ” Geyer said. “That’s why we’re so committed to making this a truly fun-filled evening for all to enjoy.”
