The College of the Desert Board of Trustees approved Dave Vigo for the role of Interim Vice President of Administrative Services on July 21, 2022. His first day is Monday, July 25. Within this position, Vigo will oversee finance, payroll, campus safety, maintenance and operations, and IT on an interim basis while the College seeks a permanent replacement.
Vigo comes to College of the Desert with a robust background in education, including K-12 schools and community college.
“We look forward to the wisdom Mr. Vigo will bring to COD from his more than 15 years in business and administrative services,” said Superintendent/President Martha Garcia, Ed.D. “It is crucial that we bring on professionals of high caliber who will contribute positively to improving our systems to benefit our students. I believe Mr. Vigo will do so.”
In Vigo’s most recent positions, he served as Senior Director for Budget and Accounting and then Interim Senior Director for Administrative Services for City College of San Francisco. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy overseas and Master’s degree in Educational Business Administration from the American College of Education, Indianapolis. He is geared to start his doctoral program next spring.
