— Desert Best Friend’s Closet is seeking enthusiastic community volunteers to join its Palm Desert boutique and help support individuals preparing for employment and career success.
Volunteers are an essential part of the Desert Best Friend’s Closet mission. Boutique volunteers are needed for the following positions: Retail ( Point-of- Sale) Machine, Clothing Sorter ( helping to sort and choose which garments are best sorted for the retail floor and which should go to the clients for their job interviews, and wardrobing specialist ( assisting clients in choosing the outfit that fits them for their job interviews).
The opportunity is ideal for individuals who enjoy fashion, retail, customer service, organization, and helping others. Volunteers can build valuable boutique and interpersonal experience while making a direct difference in the lives of local job seekers.
“Volunteering in our boutique is an opportunity to do something very practical that can have a tremendous impact,” said Matthew M. Campos, Executive Director of Desert Best Friend’s Closet. “Helping someone find professional clothing is about much more than an outfit. It can help that individual walk into an interview feeling prepared, confident, and ready for opportunity.”
Desert Best Friend’s Closet welcomes volunteers from throughout the Coachella Valley, including students, retirees, professionals, and anyone looking for a meaningful way to serve the community.
Give your time. Build your skills. Change lives.
