Girlfriend Factor’s Biggest Annual Fundraising Event to be Elevated to “Club Cabana: Dueling Bubbles”

A New Theme Reimagines this Popular Evening which will be held February 19, 2022

– The Girlfriend Factor’s most memorable event is back this year with a new twist on a fun favorite: Introducing Club Cabana: Dueling Bubbles. The evening will raise funds that will provide educational scholarships to local women.

Guests are invited to ‘choose their side’ with this year’s theme, where glitz and glam meet comfy and casual. The room décor will be divided to set the tone for the ‘duel,’ with a Champagne Bar on one side and a Beer Bar on the other.

“Let the fizz that fills your glass reflect your mood for the evening,” said Joan Busick, founder of the Girlfriend Factor. “We wanted to do something different than any other nonprofit is doing with their fundraising events, so we came up with a concept that welcomes guests who feel like dressing glam but also those who want to show up in your favorite dressy jeans. We can’t wait to see how our supporters show up and which side they’ll gravitate towards!”

This split theme continues with an electrifying “dueling pianos” duo from Las Vegas providing interactive musical entertainment. And if someone wants the duo to cue up their favorite hit song – a donation towards the Girlfriend Factor’s mission will help their request get to the top of the line-up.

It’s all happening February 19, 2022, at Toscana Country Club. Tickets are $160 each, and include dinner, two drink tickets and the dueling pianos show. There will be opportunities to shop the auction, as well.

The Girlfriend Factor is a local nonprofit which provides renewable educational grants and emotional support to adult women who choose to improve their lives through higher education and occupational training. This fundraiser has played a vital role in the organization’s ability to award GoGirl! Grants to 180 local recipients totaling over $700,000 since its inception.

GoGirl! Grants are $3,000 per year for full time students, and are renewable – which means GFF will continue to support qualified recipients until they graduate. Recipients must be 25 years of age or older and show financial need. Schools the recipients attend include: College of the Desert, California State University – San Bernardino, University of California Riverside – Palm Desert Campus, Chapman University, International School of Beauty, California Desert Trial Academy and Loma Linda School of Dentistry.

“We constantly hear from regular attendees that this is one of their favorite charity events of the year,” added Busick. “So come and raise a glass – with your bubbles of choice – to help us raise funds for local women looking to improve their lives and give back to the community through higher education.”
