As a Philanthropist, Volunteer and Activist, Jeff Hocker, President and Executive Producer for Hocker Productions has a passion for helping others and he fills that roll through his tenacity and willingness to make a keen and long-lasting difference in the world.
Jeff is extremely active in the Coachella Valley and you’d be hard pressed to find someone who doesn’t know him or hasn’t worked with him.
The list of LGBT organizations he is currently active represents programs that are on the leading edge of change: Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus, Boo 2 Bullying, Safe Schools of the Desert in conjunction with the Gay/Straight Alliances,LGBTQ+ Community Center of the Desert, Desert Business Association, Greater Palm Springs Pride, Harvey Milk DiversityBreakfast and DAPHealth.
Currently, Jeff sits on a variety of committees whose vision are to build a society whose residents are educated, out of poverty and have a passion for the performing arts. For United Way of the Desert, Jeff is the Vice President, chair of the events committee and sits on the community impact committee, which makes crucial decisions on which organizations get funding. Over the last four years, Jeff has been a mentor for the Arts Institute of Palm Springs High School giving guidance to four incredible youth striving for a career in the event production and communication fields. He serves on the United Nations Association Coachella Valley Chapter board as Communications Chair.
Hocker Productions just celebrated its 16th year anniversary. In 2020 and as it’s executive producer, Hocker Productions became a 501 © 3 tax exempt corporation.
Jeff Hocker has produced, and in some cases been the creator of, many of the largest events in the Coachella Valley including: Taste of Jalisco – Cathedral City, Halloween Palm Springs, Palm Springs Health Run and Wellness Festival, Palm Springs Food and Wine Festival, Oktoberfest Palm Springs, Food and Wine Festival Palm Desert, International Chili Society World’s Championship Chili Cook-off, Pentathlon USA World Cup, Opera in the Park along with Idyllwild Jazz in the Pines.
His public relations and marketing clients include: DAP Health, JFS Desert, Jewish Federation of the Desert, LGBTQ+ Community Center of the Desert, Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus, Coachella Valley Symphony, Palm Springs Friends of Philharmonic, Michael Childers, Barbara Sinatra Children’s Center among others.
Empowering people, organizations and those less fortunate through service and leading by example, has been the foundation for which Jeff has built a career and his life.
Jeff is a native Californian originally from Los Angeles and then spent nearly 30 years in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has been a proud Palm Springs resident since 2001, while enjoying the outdoor lifestyle playing golf, tennis, bicycling and swimming and spending quality with his partner Luis Moreno.
