A collaborative effort between Powerstrip Studio and the Kimpton Design Team, the hotel’s design is inspired by the resurgence of the Midcentury Modern movement, reimagined from a contemporary viewpoint: light-filled spaces, clean-lined furniture, custom art installations such as a 16-foot macramé owl behind the front desk, lobby-adjacent library display and grand staircase. Subtly designed geometric patterns in an optimistic color palette – blues and greens in the guestrooms and pinks and oranges on the pool deck – are tempered with natural wood, creamy neutrals and white.

Many of the guestrooms either have picturesque views of the San Jacinto Mountains or balconies where guests can chill and unwind. For the ultimate luxury stay, choose one of three one-bedroom suites or the presidential suite, each with its own wraparound balcony.

For custom business and social events, Kimpton The Rowan Palm Springs offers event space unlike any other in the Coachella Valley, thoughtfully designed, drawing inspiration from the surrounding landscape and high-desert glamour. The 2,300-square-foot Sky Ballroom, located on the second floor with floor-to-ceiling windows and mountain views, holds up to 200 reception style. Jacinto is the 887-square-foot rooftop event room, accommodating up to 95 people, with optional terrace, which accommodates approximately 20. Jacinto and Jacinto Terrace are ideal for social gatherings under the sun or stars.
