Kristina Roloff, D.O., to be Installed as 129th President of San Bernardino County Medical Society

– 2021-22 board officers and ‘Outstanding Award’ recipients honored

A person smiling for the camera Description automatically generated with low confidence(Inland Empire, CA.) – The San Bernardino County Medical Society (SBCMS) will welcome its 129th President at its upcoming Officers’ Installation on June 24, 2021. Kristina Roloff, D.O., MS, MPH, FACOOG, obstetrician and gynecologist with Valley Obstetrics and Gynecology Medical Group, Inc. will be sworn in as the society’s president at a historic home in Redlands, California. Close to 200 guests are expected to gather for a circus-themed reception with live youth acrobatic entertainment and a brief program.

Robert Wailes, M.D., California Medical Association (CMA) President-Elect will conduct the swearing-in of President Roloff and each Executive Committee officer. In addition to Dr. Roloff, officers to be sworn-in include:

KRISTINA ROLOFF, D.O., D.O., MS, MPH, FACOOG – SBCMS President

Dr. Kristina (Kristy) Roloff is a maternal medicine physician (MFM) attending at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) in Colton, California, currently part of the team with Valley Obstetrics and Gynecology Group, Inc. She received her degree in Osteopathic Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences in 2006 and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology in 2010. After a brief time as an ObGyn attending, she completed her MFM fellowship at ARMC in 2015. She was the first fellow to complete the program and is now Associate Program Director.

Dr. Roloff completed a Masters in Public Health (MPH) in community health science from UCLA in 2015. She stays engaged in research and is currently investigating interventions to reduce primary cesarean deliveries and prevent transfusion in delivered mothers.

She has served as a popular medical office host for the SBCMS White Coat job shadow program in partnership with Reach Out, donating her time and talent to mentoring high school and community college students. She also has been a key participant in communicating the importance of ACEs (adverse childhood experiences) upon a child’s physical and mental development and appeared in a public service announcement produced by First 5 San Bernardino, The Children’s Network and San Bernardino County Medical Society. Dr. Roloff also serves as a member of the District II Delegation to the CMA’s House of Delegates.

Dr. Roloff followed a non-traditional path to medicine. Her undergraduate degree from McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, is in Earth and Planetary Science. She earned a master’s degree in Astronomy from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, B.C., where she was a member of the team that launched MOST, Canada’s first microsatellite, which functioned for 12 years, measuring oscillations of nearby stars.

Dr. Roloff stays active with her family, as she and her husband follow the accomplishments of her three children, ages 15, 13 and 10.
