La Cocina at Reforma Partners with DAP Health and “Dining Out for Life” April 24

Greater Palm Springs’ favorite culinary benefit returns for its 21st year, aiming to top the international leaderboard.

Join La Cocina at Reforma as they raise much needed funds for DAP Health during “Dining Out for Life,” as they offer 33% of their net proceeds to support life saving programs.

Thanks to the enthusiastic backing of local food and beverage establishments, volunteers, and supporters, Greater Palm Springs consistently ranks as one of the nation’s most successful Dining Out For Life markets. In 2024, 75 participating venues helped raise over $280,000, including La Cocina at Reforma — outpacing cities like San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, and Chicago. This year, with more than 20,000 diners expected, Greater Palm Springs is setting its sights on securing the number one spot nationwide.

“Every year, Dining Out For Life is such a great, win-win-win way for our countless supporters to come out and engage in a philanthropic feast,” adds DAP Health CEO David Brinkman. “With the backing of three great new partnerships, plus the usual, much-appreciated endorsement from our many media partners, I fully expect this year to be the best one yet. So get those forks, spoons, and knives out and let’s go to town and eat our way to number one!”

This historic gem inspires diners even before they enter the venue as La Cocina Reforma’s al fresco patio dining overlooks the Palm Springs Art Museum Architecture and Design Center on Palm Canyon Drive.

Executive chef Erick Hernandez, a native of the Coachella Valley, who turns out a thoughtfully planned pan-Latin menu, pays homage to the Southern California experience, helms La Cocina at Reforma’s kitchen. Cuisines from Mexico, Central and South America are represented and fused, delivering a unique dining opportunity.

Craft Cocktails are at the heart of the restaurants earthy vibe, either at the bar or in the dining room. Ricardo Ruiz, whose work is featured at The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art and Culture “The Cheech” in Riverside, has created Reforma’s artistic centerpiece; an expansive mural that greets visitors when they first enter the venue.
