Message from Ron Celona, CVrep, Founding Artistic Director

Dear CVRep Family,

My sincere thanks go to each and every one of you for your support of CVRep. The 2019-2020 season started strong and we achieved record setting attendance for Ballroom. Equally entertaining is our current run of The City of Conversation. Yet, its success is mired by the current COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

The entire team at CVRep is monitoring and evaluating this disease and I will personally keep you abreast of any developments. We are actively taking steps to mitigate the spread of this debilitating disease. Your safety, health and welfare are of paramount concern to me, and to the Board of Directors of CVRep.

First, we are intentionally limiting capacity in the theatre. While we can accommodate 208 guests, we are reducing ticket sales to allow for adequate spacing between our guests. This will allow you to comfortably see The City of Conversation on stage, while knowing there’s an adequate social distance, as recommended by the California Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control.

Second, we have implemented an aggressive sanitizing protocol. Before and between performances, the theatre, lobby, seats, handrails and all public areas will be wiped down with medical grade disinfectant solution.

Finally, we ask that anyone who is sick, exhibiting flu-like symptoms or is in a group for which the CDC recommends self-quarantine, please stay home. You can reschedule your ticket for another date during the run of The City of Conversation, or any other performance or event hosted by CVRep. Your value never expires.

The City of Conversation opened to rave response. In fact, this talented cast, acting in playwright Anthony Giardina’s dramedy received a standing ovation.
All performances will continue as scheduled.

If you have tickets to a show and are choosing not to attend, or if you have tickets to an event which we’ve cancelled, please consider donating your purchase to the theatre instead of asking for a refund. Thousands of local artists and art organizations will be going through a catastrophic season this year and your contribution will help.

Sincerely,

Ron
