OneFuture Coachella Valley has recently received a grant from the Anderson Children’s Foundation along with 87 other awardees.
This $20,865 grant is for the Think BIG! College Success Challenge and will support the following programs with funds: OFCV’s “Next? Think BIG! College Success Campaign,” a three-part campaign designed to impact College Awareness through its Regional College Fair Event, targeting 8th grade and 11th grade students; Informed College Selections by graduating seniors through the College Decision Night program; and Freshman 1st Year Success through the Student Leadership Conference for incoming college freshman and undergrads.
This unique trio of proven strategies will impact increased college awareness and preparedness, smarter college choices for accepted students and transition support for students as they prepare to enter college in the fall.
The Anderson Children’s Foundation is the first sponsor of next year’s Student Leadership Conference which takes places in June, 2019, on the California State University San Bernardino’s Palm Desert campus.
More than 200 scholarship recipients attended the two-day event this year. The conference theme was “Peace of Mind: A Leadership Conference for OneFuture Scholars.”
