The Palm Springs Chamber of commerce is breaking the rules and redefining what a powerful local business advocacy organization should look like by unveiling the newest edition of its magazine and a new marketing campaign ‘Shine Brighter Together’ at a special event on March 22. It will host a grand opening ribbon cutting event at 4PM on March 22 for Co-Work, the new collaborative work space located in the newly renovated mid-century headquarters located at 190 West Amado Road downtown. Chamber President, Steven Henke calls it ‘a place where good people and great ideas come together”. He says, “We know that visitors can work anywhere when they visit Palm Springs, but connecting them to members inside Co-Work will ensure new ideas take root and grow in Palm Springs.”

Co-Work faces the O’Donnell Golf Club and features inspiring views of the San Jacinto Mountains at each of the bar-height co-working stations in its main room. “We want to create new opportunity in Palm Springs by inviting non-brick-and-mortar business owners into a relationship with our Chamber membership,” says Chamber CEO Nona Watson
Co-Work will be open during normal Chamber business hours and available to members and non-members alike. Features include collaborative workspace, a private office, a coffee lounge, and the Co-Work Lab – which seats 22 and include state-of-the-art AV equipment for group meetings and presentations or an offsite brainstorming and strategy location for companies who need it.
Membership in a shared co-work space has been proven to expand professional networks, increase referrals, and drive new ideas born of collaboration, and boost creativity, productivity, satisfaction, and happiness for remote workers who no longer have to work alone.
“We know that Palm Springs works best when Palm Springs works together,” says Henke, adding that he expects the new space to be fun, social, inspiring, and all about community.
During the event, the Chamber will unveil the newest edition of its Palm Springs Chamber City Guide magazine. Within its pages, residents will be invited to get to know the people whose joint efforts are making Palm Springs the vibrant village the Los Angeles Times called “The Capital of Cool.” Discover some of the women who built the city, and some of the women who lead it today. Spend time with City Manager David Ready, and meet two of the youngest members of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians Tribal Council.
Co-Work was funded entirely by the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce via the support of its membership and annual fundraising events. It offers special discounts for Chamber of Commerce members.
