THE PREMIERE SEASON OF PALM SPRINGS DANCE PROJECT IS SLATED FOR FEBRUARY 5 TO MARCH 8, 2020 Founder and Executive Director, Darcy Carozza, is an event producer and former theater director with over 25 years of experience. She is the Co-founder and former Executive Director of the Palm Springs Dance Festival. She created Palm Springs Dance Project with the mission to contribute to building a thriving dance community in Palm Springs, the Coachella Valley, and Southern California. Palm Springs Dance Project’s month-long agenda includes scholarship-based intensive dance education for local high school students; community dance performances by students and professionals; and concludes with a stunning evening of dance created by award-winning Artistic Director, Deborah Brockus. THE MAIN EVENT features three acclaimed Los Angeles-based dance companies – ballet, modern and aerial dance by Luminario Ballet; high energy, jazz performance by BrockusRED; and provocative choreography to the music of Motown by Lula Washington Dance Theater. The performance is followed by a VIP on-stage reception with the performers. Proceeds from the evening will benefit our local community through dance.
