Southern California Railway Museum begins Second Saturdays

The Southern California Railway Museum (SCRM) is pleased to announce “Second Saturdays,” beginning October 10th, 2020. In addition to the regular weekend train and trolley rides, Second Saturdays feature socially distanced activities including hopscotch, an Instagram Scavenger Hunt with prizes and exclusive access to the Grizzly Flats Barn Collection.

“We understand that our members and community need safe outdoor activities,” said Hank Winn, Vice President/Chief Operating Officer and Museum General Manager. “Second Saturdays provide families an opportunity to get out of the house, ride our trains and trollies, explore the campus safely, and participate in a number of socially distanced activities. Being outside is important and this provides a safe and fun way to do so.”

Second Saturdays will continue throughout the year, unless a special event is featured. Participants who register online (www.socalrailway.org/scrm-events/second-saturdays/) prior to Saturday, will be entered into a random drawing to win a weekend train and trolley rides family four-pack. SCRM is open every day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Train and Trolley rides are available on weekends only.

The Southern California Railway Museum is a non-profit organization located at 2201 “A” Street, Perris, California, 92570. It is home to vast collections of historic and vintage railway equipment and artifacts. The 100-acre campus is home to many annual events.
