The Carolyn E. Wylie Center – Volunteer & Student Internship

The Carolyn E. Wylie Center is a large multi-service center now serving over 3,401 children, youth, and families each year through its programs and services. Serving the Inland Empire, we provide the highest quality educational programs and therapeutic services to meet the needs, goals and hopes of individuals with special learning, emotional and developmental needs.

Volunteer!

Are you looking for volunteer experience? Volunteers are always welcome to participate in assisting with a variety of tasks including cleaning toys and clerical duties. This is a great way to gain experience and knowledge about mental health services.

How To Volunteer

If you have any questions about volunteer opportunities, contact us. Or you can also send us your volunteer form to twc@wyliecenter.org.

Student Internships

We also accept internships from local colleges and universities. The staff provide supervision and training for student interns while integrating skill-building and educational opportunities. Student interns also fulfill a variety of roles within the organization to assist in fundraising, as well as provide occupational therapy, counseling, education, and direct mental health services to clients in the clinical setting. Student interns allow The Wylie Center to carry out services in educating the community about the importance of early intervention services.

Community Outreach

Community outreach is a collaborative approach to increase public awareness about mental health services we provide to the communities in Riverside and San Bernardino County. Student interns and volunteers, along with staff, have the opportunity to engage with individuals in the community to provide public awareness and education.
