With a humble heart, I received the 2021 Congressional Recognition Award this month for “outstanding and invaluable service to our community.” This would not have been possible without a passionate board and dedicated supporters by our sides to drive The Literacy Project to success. As well, a very special thank you to Kimberly Vig for her years of devotion.
Thank you for believing that no child should be denied the right to read or the chance to learn to read within their unique capabilities. You each have contributed in so many special ways to bring our service to over 10,000 children.
Also, sincere thanks to Sinan Kanatsiz for this nomination and Lynn Hackman for the Epoch Times feature!
I am only one of the humble servants of our village. This award represents all of us and I share this with each of you with gratitude!
