About National Philanthropy Day
National Philanthropy Day (NPD) honors our community’s philanthropic heroes who are actively engaged and give so generously of their time, skills, talents, and financial support.  To date, the Association of Fundraising Professionals CA, Desert Communities Chapter has paid tribute to 86 individuals, businesses, foundations and organizations. Honorees are nominated through a process open to all individuals, organizations, companies and foundations in the Coachella Valley. The NPD Awards Committee, comprised of AFP fundraising professionals, reviews submitted applications, selects three nominations in each category, and sends those to an independent Blue-Ribbon Committee for review and final selection of an Honoree in each category. This year’s NPD will take place on Friday, November 4th at 11:00am at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort in Indian Wells.
