DOHC named Outstanding Philanthropic Corporation 2024

On Friday, May 17, the Desert Communities Chapter CA of the Association of Fundraising Professionals named Desert Oasis Healthcare as the Outstanding Philanthropic Corporation 2024.

“On behalf of both Desert Oasis Healthcare and Family Hospice Care, I know this award wouldn’t be possible without the contributions of our 1,100+ employees. They know the importance of collectively giving of our ‘time, talent, and treasure’ to so many great nonprofit organizations in our community,” said Marc Hoffing, MD, MPH and Medical Director of DOHC. “As hardworking as our employees may be, they can only do so much to serve the complete needs of our members. That’s why it’s important to give to those organizations that provide other services that fall outside our scope of providing excellent medical care.”

Other civic/service organization award categories recognized at the event included Outstanding Philanthropist, Outstanding Fundraising Professional, Outstanding Philanthropic Foundation, and Outstanding Founder of a Coachella Valley Nonprofit Organization. The Desert Communities Chapter will honor all category winners at its National Philanthropy Day in the Desert 2024 Luncheon on Friday, November 1.
