Youth Town Hall: Inspiring the Next Generation of Leaders

The Desert Town Hall series is not only known for bringing influential speakers to Indian Wells but also for its remarkable youth program, Youth Town Hall. This initiative invites 150 students from over 20 high schools to each event, providing them with a unique opportunity to engage with world-renowned speakers and gain insights that can shape their futures.

Youth Town Hall is an integral part of the Desert Town Hall season, designed to inspire and educate young minds by connecting them with leaders and experts from various fields. Each speaker in the 2025 lineup will participate in this program, meeting with students in a more intimate setting to discuss their experiences, insights, and the challenges they have faced in their careers.

The program begins with Dan Buettner on January 16. Buettner will share his groundbreaking research on the Blue Zones and discuss the importance of lifestyle choices in promoting longevity and happiness. Students will have the chance to ask questions and learn about the significance of healthy living and community engagement in achieving a fulfilling life.

On February 7, Stephen Harper, the former Prime Minister of Canada, will meet with students to provide an insider’s perspective on global politics and economic strategies. Harper’s session will offer students a rare glimpse into the world of international diplomacy and decision-making, encouraging them to think critically about the global issues that impact their lives and communities.

Mitch Albom, the acclaimed author and journalist, will take the stage on March 4 to discuss the power of storytelling and its ability to inspire change. Albom’s engaging storytelling style will captivate students, and he will emphasize the importance of empathy, communication, and perseverance in both personal and professional endeavors. This session promises to leave a lasting impression on students, encouraging them to find and share their own stories.

The program concludes on March 31 with Megyn Kelly, who will share her experiences in the media industry. Kelly will discuss the evolving landscape of journalism and the importance of integrity and resilience in pursuing a career in media. Her candid insights will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities in today’s media environment.

Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and subscribers, Youth Town Hall is presented at no cost to the students. This support ensures that financial barriers do not hinder any student from participating in this enriching experience, allowing more young people to access the valuable lessons and inspiration offered by these esteemed speakers.

Youth Town Hall offers students a valuable opportunity to interact with leaders and thinkers who are shaping the world. This program is designed to ignite curiosity, foster critical thinking, and inspire the next generation of leaders to pursue their passions and make a positive impact in their communities.
