Hanson House Foundation Begins Renovations to Meet Increase Demand for Accommodations

The Hanson House Foundation is excited to replace key infrastructure and refresh our Casitas to enhance guest comfort. Our 20+ year old property serves as a “home away from home” for the loved ones of patients at local hospitals in the Coachella Valley. Guests staying at Hanson House reached 4,175 nights serving 352 families with 74% requiring room rate subsidy.

Located at 380 E. Paseo El Mirador, Palm Springs, CA we welcome the community at our Open House on April 16, 2024 (Tuesday) from 5 PM to 7 PM to experience firsthand the compassionate environment we provide for families and patients in need of temporary accommodations. Attendees will have the chance to tour our facility and learn about the upcoming updates to enhance our guest experience.

“We are thrilled to open our doors to the community and showcase the invaluable services we offer, “said Ivonne Moreno, Executive Director at the Hanson House Foundation.” Our mission is to provide a warm and nurturing environment for families and patients 365 days a year, and this event allows us to share our dedication to this cause for the past 20 years.”

Guests have a private casita, access to laundry facilities, donation food pantry, WIFI, community dining and family room including use of a computer with printer. “We believe that every family and patient deserve a peaceful place to stay during challenging times, and our Open House event is an opportunity for the community to come together in support of this mission,” added Ivonne Moreno.

To make the event even more enjoyable, light snacks will be available for attendees to enjoy while mingling and learning more about the Hanson House Foundation and our mission.
