Musicals are Back On The Big Screen this Summer at the Palm Springs Cultural Center

For a Classic Movie Sing-Along on the Big Screen.
The Palm Springs Cultural Center is pleased to announce two exciting Summer programs featuring some of the most beloved movie musicals of all time! The first, “Broadway to the BIG SCREEN and Back” features films that made it BIG on Broadway before they made their way to the movies (or vice versa).
Filmgoers dancing (and singing) in your seats (or in the aisles)! That’s right!Summer Sing-Alongs with the Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus are back every Sunday afternoon at 3:00PM with the timeless Movie Musicals that everyone loves, and loves to sing along to films on the big screen in all their Technicolor glory!

Each screening includes a special introduction to the film. Find out secret stories you may have never heard of. Hear all about the people who became stars because of their roles in these films (or should have…maybe could have) and the deals the studios made to make the films. There’s a story (or several) to every one of these beloved musicals, and we’ve got the inside track on all of them!
Our annual summer sing-along wouldn’t be complete without our sing-out-loud song leaders, The Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus. Each summer they warm up the crowd fearlessly tackling the songs with their diverse musical talents and encouraging the choir members in all of us to SING IT- GURL!
Since 1999, PSGMC has given back to its community through anti-bullying grants to the Gay/Straight Alliances in the school districts, collecting household items for those less fortunate, toy and school drives and so much more. In addition, the Chorus has performed for PS Pride, Cathedral City LGBT Days, Rancho Mirage Library, Palm Desert Sunday Sounds and Halloween on Arenas. In November 2016, Palm Springs Pride recognized PSGMC as the Organization of the Year and in 2018 the City of Palm Springs recognized PSGMC as the Official Gay Men’s Chorus of Palm Springs.
