FirstBank and Desert Community Foundation Encourage Nonprofits to Register for Upcoming CV Giving Day, March 4, 2025
Coachella Valley Giving Day (CV Giving Day) returns for the third year on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. This 24-hour online philanthropic event brings the community together to raise funds and awareness for local nonprofits. The event is presented by FirstBank, one of the nation’s largest privately held banks with a focus on “banking for good,” and Desert Community Foundation (DCF). In 2024, the event successfully raised over $860,000 for 160 Coachella Valley nonprofits.
From November 4, 2024 to February 23, 2025, nonprofits can register to participate in CV Giving Day. Participating nonprofits will have a chance to win thousands of dollars in incentive prizes.
“Over the past two years, CV Giving Day has showcased the power of community collaboration. We are excited to continue supporting local nonprofits,” said Jake Wuest, FirstBank California Market President. “Together, we can create lasting positive change and foster even greater support for the remarkable organizations that uplift our community.”
Early giving will be available from February 4, 2025 to March 4, 2025, allowing donors to contribute to their chosen nonprofits before the official event. Other sponsors include The Regional Access Project Foundation (RAP), the Auen Foundation, and Amazon, who are also supporting this initiative.

Earlier this year, California Bank & Trust (CB&T) agreed to acquire four FirstBank branch locations in Palm Desert and Indio, including deposit, credit card and loan accounts, for individuals and businesses. FirstBank remains committed to supporting the Coachella Valley community and CV Giving Day 2025 throughout the acquisition process.
