As it is for the shelter animals in our care, the health and well-being of our entire community is our top priority.
In light of recent developments globally, and growing concern locally, around the spread of the COVID-19 virus, Friends of the Palm Springs Animal Shelter has made the difficult decision to not go forward with our annual Faux Fur Ball as scheduled on March 28th.
We have not arrived at this decision easily. We count on the Faux Fur Ball as our most significant source of community donations for the shelter every year. Beyond providing us with necessary resources to meet the needs of the thousands of homeless pets we care for at the Shelter, the Faux Fur Ball also provides a sense of pride for Friends of the Palm Springs Animal Shelter, demonstrating to all how to truly celebrate life – all life – to the fullest.

We are disappointed we won’t be gathering in person with our extraordinary community of animal lovers and friends at the end of the month, but we are sensitive to the health and well-being of everyone who planned to attend.
