Walk of the Stars Palm Springs will honor Richard DeSantis with the 451st Star on the Walk of the Stars Palm Springs. The Star will be unveiled at The Downtown Palm Springs Park on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. The Star Dedication Ceremony is open to the
public.
“The Chamber is very honored to host the star ceremony for Richard DeSantis, giving him the 451st star,” said Palm Springs Chamber CEO, Nona Watson.
When Richard started Event Management Productions 30+ years ago, he found himself creating major events in the Coachella Valley, specifically the Bob Hope Classic Ball. One led to another, and he quickly came to be a cornerstone for producing shows, including working with Frank and Barbara Sinatra, Hubert Givenchy, and Betty Ford. Notably, the Palm Springs Festival International Awards Gala, the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards, and the Palm Springs Opera Guild.
Importantly, ninety-eight percent of the 329 events have been to raise funds for local charitable organizations.
Richard has sat on many charitable boards and served as a President on several of them. He has been nominated and won two major awards for his productions from Special Events Magazine.
“I have been producing events and shows all over the world for well over 40 years, but now, to be the recipient of my own star on the Palm Springs Walk of the Stars is truly humbling.,” said Richard. “Even with all of the magic and fantasy I’ve been involved with, I cannot believe I am now part of the incredible list of folks who “shine” on the streets of Palm Springs. Thank you, Palm Springs!”
