February is a month to spread love and show someone you care about that they mean the world to you. Whether it’s taking a loved one on a Valentine’s Day dinner, or writing a special note in a sack lunch for a child, we tend to do a little extra this month. Every day we work with children and youth in foster care, helping them heal from the traumas they have experienced. We also provide families with mental health support, helping them become stronger advocates for their children.
We are grateful for our staff, who are committed to working with children and youth in foster care and supporting families and individuals who are willing to open their hearts and homes to provide permanency. Just as we are grateful to them, we are also grateful for our supporters who help us meet the needs of our children and families. We count on community members like you to show their love for the mission we advance day in and day out.

With more than 20,000 children in the Los Angeles foster care system, Five Acres has been working to keep the numbers low by providing safety, well-being, and permanency to children and youth in foster care.
