We Say Goodbye to Peggy Cravens

It is with a heavy heart and many tears that we announce the passing of Peggy Cravens, the Chairman of the Board and the soul of PSipc, on Friday evening shortly before midnight. Peggy had an infection that could not be treated except by major surgery. Practical to the end, Peggy chose to go on hospice, electing not to have the surgery. She died peacefully, and without pain.
As everyone knew, Peggy was our “Doer” – she got things done! She was passionate about The Waring competitions and devoted thousands of hours to its continuity. She was also very passionate about the new path that PSipc is following. Peggy was also a most generous philanthropist and a brilliant community leader.
The Board and staff at PSipc know that Peggy loved what she did for the young pianists throughout the world and it is our joint intention to carry on her legacy – to keep it alive and thriving. We know that you all feel the sadness that both of us feel. Our Peggy will be sorely missed.
Sincerely,
Joe Giarrusso
