 What:                 Celebration for winners of the 2018 “Battle of the High Schools”

                             FAFSA Completion Competition

 When:                 Tuesday, May 8, 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

 Where:               UCR Palm Desert

                             75080 Frank Sinatra Dr., Room B200, Second Floor

 Why:                   Each year, our region’s 13 high schools compete to increase the FAFSA completion rate, a critical step for college enrollment and financial aid.

 Since 2011, the region’s rate has increased from 48% to 67%, resulting in more than $3.9 million available in financial aid.

                              A total of $13,000 in cash prizes will be awarded to winning high schools and the overall high school winner will received an additional $1,000.

                        

Join in the recognition of Cathedral City, Desert Mirage, La Familia, Shadow Hills and West Shores high schools for the highest FAFSA application completion rates!
