PROVIDING HOPE TO THE TRANSLATINA COMMUNITY In honour of Black History Month, the Elton John AIDS Foundation is highlighting the work of our partners. Today we’d like to introduce you to Arburtha Franklin from TransLatin@ Coalition, an organization that advocates for the needs of Trans Latinas who are immigrants and reside in the US. Arburtha met the team at TransLatin@ Coalition, a partner of the Foundation’s Fund for Resilience, Equity and Engagement (FREE), after 23 years in the California State Prison system. This Fund supports community-led organisations in addressing Black LGBTQ+ needs in the United States. |
